The Irish football champions are the winners of the highest league in Irish football. Founded in 1921 the inaguaral winners were St. James's Gate. In total, 19 teams have won the League of Ireland with Shamrock Rovers the most successful side with 16 titles followed by Shelbourne with 13 titles and Bohemians 11.
